Introduction
Pivo's Dog Tracking feature exemplifies a blend of our Auto Tracking technology and user-oriented design, delivering a tracking solution that's adaptable and user-friendly.
For the best possible tracking experience, please take note of the following:
-
Pivo tracks on visual detection and the tracking feature will only be able to start tracking once it can detect the full shape of the dog (body and four legs).
- For Pivo to see the tracking target clearly, it is recommended that the object you are tracking covers at least 10% of the phone's screen.
-
The tracking quality also depends on factors such as lighting, distance, movement speed, and your smartphone camera's specifications.
Getting Started
1. First, connect your Pod to your smartphone through the Pivo+ app. See the full article on How to get started with Pivo.
2. Once you've paired your smartphone, the app will open in Gallery. Tap the + icon and you'll be routed to the Capture Video screen.
3. On the lower left part of the Capture Video screen, tap the circle icon to see the available Auto Tracking Modes (Face, Body, Horse, and Dog). After that, tap Dog Tracking to start filming your fur babies!
Tracking Settings
To change the tracking settings of your Pivo, tap the Settings icon on the lower right part of the Capture Video screen and from there, you may adjust the tracking settings:
Depending on your specific needs, several features can be adjusted under the Tracking Settings page:
Tracking Speed
Adjust the Tracking Speed and sensitivity of your Pivo here. The Pod and Pod Max has 6 Tracking Speed settings (Slower, Slow, Normal, Fast, Frenzy, Turbo).
Slow is a great option for smoother tracking capabilities, whereas Fast, Frenzy, and Turbo can sharply pick up your every move and change in direction.
Auto Zoom
Auto Zoom is a super cool feature that allows Pivo to automatically zoom in and out on the tracking target in Smart Tracking.
Predictive Follow
By activating Predictive Follow, Pivo will try to follow you even when you’re out of frame. When it happens, Pivo will continue in the direction you were last moving in for 40 degrees more.
Target Exposure
If you're riding in an area with uneven lighting, or in the morning or afternoon where the sun is brighter on one side of the screen, we recommend turning Target Exposure on.

Tracking Presets
For different activities you film with your dog, we offer presets with pre-adjusted tracking settings.
