What Can I Do With Magic Edge?
With Magic Edge, Pivo will stitch two videos together side by side to give the illusion of one video with a whole load of creative possibilities. Change from one person to another, or teleport between worlds.
Getting Started
- First, connect your Pod to your smartphone through the Pivo Play app. See the full article on How to Pair Your Smartphone
- Once you've paired your smartphone, the app will open in Capture preview
- Swipe to the right to open the Mode menu and select Magic Edge
- Magic Edge preview will open

5. Swipe to the left to open the Mode settings (or adjust your settings with the icons in the right side of Magic Edge preview). To close the Mode settings, simply swipe right to return to Magic Edge preview.

7. Adjust your settings as follows:
Rotation Direction
You can choose between clockwise and counterclockwise
rotation.
Shooting Mode
When you choose Auto mode, Pivo takes care of the rest after tapping the shutter once. If you choose Manual mode, using it with the Remote Control will allow you to have enough time to get ready/change your outfit and record a completely different version of yourself.
Video Recording Length
You can choose the length of your video between 3, 5, 10 and 15 seconds.
Note: Please note that the longer each video is, the longer it will take for your smartphone to process the final result. It can take even longer with older smartphones.
Creating your Magic Edge
To create your Magic Edge, simply press start. Pivo will count down from 3 and start recording the first video, then turn, countdown from 3 again and start recording the second video.
You will then be taken to the initial editing page. You can choose 3 types of sticker:
- Provided sticker
- Sticker from your own album
- No sticker
Editing your Magic Edge
After you have added your preferred sticker, you can choose to process your Magic Edge immediately or edit it. To edit your Magic Edge, simply press the Edit Icon on the lower right-hand side of the screen. This will take you to the editing page. Here, you can select the frames you want to copy & paste or freeze. If your Magic Edge videos do not align, you can edit them to make the perfect creation!
Note: Press cancel to go back to the sticker selection page. Any edits you've made will be cleared.
Copy & Paste
- Choose whether you will edit the left video or the right video
- Hold Select to select the section you want to copy & paste
- Drag the copied section over the section you wish to paste it and click paste
- Review your creation
Freeze
- Choose whether you will edit the left video or the right video
- Hold Select to select the section you want to freeze
- Select Freeze to freeze the section you want
Note: The videos on either side of the frozen section will play accordingly.
