What is Video Annotation?
The Video Annotation feature in Pivo Arena allows you to draw directly on your recorded videos to add visual feedback, highlight technique, measure angles, and leave comments. It's a powerful tool for both coaches and riders who want to analyse performance in detail.
Use Video Annotation to:
- Draw lines and arrows to highlight body position, horse movement, or jump technique
- Mark angles and reference points for biomechanical analysis
- Add written or voice notes directly to the video
- Share annotated clips with your coach or student
How to Access Video Annotation
- Open Pivo Arena and go to the Gallery.
- Select the video you want to annotate.
- Tap the Annotation icon (pencil or edit icon) on the video preview screen.
- The Video Annotation editor will open.
Using the Annotation Tools
Once inside the annotation editor, you'll have access to the following tools:
- Draw / Freehand – Draw freely over the video frame.
- Lines and Arrows – Draw straight lines or directional arrows to highlight movement paths.

- Undo / Clear – Remove the last annotation or clear all annotations from a frame.
Navigating the Video While Annotating
- Use the scrubber/timeline at the bottom of the screen to move to specific moments in the video.
- Use frame-by-frame navigation for precise analysis of specific movements.
- Pause the video on the exact frame you want to annotate before drawing.
