What is Lessons Mode?
Lessons Mode in Pivo Arena allows you to conduct 1-on-1 video calls with your coach or student while Pivo tracks you in real time. It's the perfect tool for remote coaching sessions, check-ins, and collaborative training.
How to Start a Lessons Session
- Open Pivo Arena and connect to your Pivo Pod (see Connecting Pivo Arena to the Pod).
- Once connected, you'll be in the capture screen with Video Mode open by default.
- Scroll the mode options at the bottom of the screen and select Lessons.
- Tap Connect to begin.
Auto Tracking During Lessons
One of the key benefits of Lessons Mode is that Pivo Arena tracks you automatically while you're on the call.
To select your tracking mode in Lessons:
- Tap the icon to the left of the Shutter button to open the Tracking Mode list.
- Choose what to track. Available tracking modes are Horse, Human, or None.
- Tap the tracking mode to enable your selection.
Once enabled, a notification will appear while Pivo searches for the target. When found, a red box will appear on screen.
Settings Available in Lessons Mode
- Tracking Position – Choose left, centre, or right positioning.
- Switch Camera – Toggle between front and back camera.
- Grid – Display a grid for levelling your shot.
- Timer/Countdown – 3-second countdown before the session begins recording.
- Flash – Toggle flash on/off.
Guest Control
Guest Control allows your coach (the guest) to control the rotation of your Pivo Pod from their end. By default, Guest Control permission is enabled for the guest.
The guest can activate/deactivate Guest Control to manually rotate the host's Pivo Pod from their side using:
- Swipe left/right on a smartphone
- Arrow keys on a keyboard (when using a laptop/computer)
