What is the Guest Role?
In a Pivo Arena Lessons session, the guest is the person joining the call remotely — typically the coach or instructor but it can also be the rider/student if the coach sent the invite. As a guest, you join a session that the host (the other party) has initiated and shared with you.
What You'll Need
- The session link shared by your host (student/rider)
- A smartphone with the Pivo Arena app installed, or a laptop/desktop with Google Chrome
- A Pivo account (free to create)
Joining the Call on a Smartphone
- Open the session link your host shared with you. It will open directly in the Pivo Arena app.
- If prompted, sign in or sign up for a Pivo account.
- Fill in your profile details if prompted to do so.
- Toggle your microphone and camera on or off using the icons on the pre-join screen.
- Tap Join to enter the call.
- Grant any camera and microphone permissions if prompted.
Joining the Call on a Laptop or Computer
- Open the session link in Google Chrome (recommended browser).
- Sign in or sign up for a Pivo account if prompted.
- Configure your microphone and camera on the pre-join screen.
- Click Join Meet to enter the call.
- Grant microphone and camera permissions when prompted by the browser.
Important: Make sure to allow Pivo Arena access to your camera and microphone before joining. Without these permissions, you won't be able to participate in the call.
During the Call
- You'll see the host's live video feed, tracked by their Pivo Pod.
- Use the microphone to speak to your student and provide coaching in real time.
- If the host has enabled Guest Control, you'll be able to control the rotation of their Pivo Pod remotely.
